We ask our guests to check in between 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. If you can’t arrive before 6 p.m., please call and make arrangements for room access. Check out is requested at 11 a.m.

The lodge is appropriate for well-behaved children.   
 
Smokingz
First Settler’s Lodge is a non-smoking facility. Guests who enjoy tobacco are asked to smoke outside in designated areas.

Guided Arrangements
Payments for guide services should be made directly to the registered guides.
 

Pet Policy
To Man's Best Friend:

Here at the lodge, we are dog lovers and hope you and your owner will stay with us, but before you jump in the car or truck, please make sure your owner knows all of the rules.

First, you should know that there are two house dogs, Boomer and Blue. Our dogs have separate quarters away from the guests, but you may run into them outside. If you do, please greet them affectionately.

Second, please ask your owner to walk you in the trails behind the lodge and pick up after you if necessary. There is a trash receptacle located behind the lodge for their convenience. Keeping you on a leash while walking you will keep you safe. 

Third, we know that you are loved and your owner would never, ever leave you in their room or tied up outside alone. 

Fourth, even though we love dogs, not everyone does, so please ask your owner to keep you out of the common areas in the lodge. I know you wouldn’t want to scare anyone or upset their allergies.

Our guests appreciate quiet so please remember that there is never any barking.

If you need a blanket to lay on, just let us know and we’ll bring you one with a treat! Remember, only paying guests are allowed to use the furniture.

We hope to see you soon and please remember to bring your orange accessories during hunting season!   Sorry, we can’t accommodate puppies.
